A weekend at the coast

Last weekend we packed the car and headed to Seaside for a basketball tournament for Savannah. Inbetween games we were able to visit a few sites in Astoria. We were also able to spend a little time down on the beach. The last picture expresses how we all felt at the end of the weekend.

Forrest was hanging out

Josh got a little too close to this wave. Nothing better than a sand in the pants!

We went to see the Astoria column and quickly found out that it was closed~ Oh, darn. we couldn't climb all those wonderful stairs to get to the top. I think Forrest was the only one disappointed about that!

After weaving through the town of Astoria, we finally found the road that leads to the bridge. It was very cool.

At one point all 5 kids were asleep in the car! What a treat. Unfortunately, my camera couldn't fit Savannah in.

Brett was in heaven driving the bumper cars. Grant had a blast as well!!!

that is so wonderful. It looks like the weather was actually not too bad. please don't tell me if it wasn't windy, since i haven't been to the beach without wind ever!!

I still think about the time we were at the beach, sitting in the chairs and watching the kids, but not the waves...they don't get that close, right! Looks like you have a great ball player there!
