Chocolate Ice cream! Mmmmm.....

" I want more!"

Beach bums

Last week my Mom invited us to spend a couple days with her at their beach house. We had such a great time.....poor Forrest wasn't able to be there with us, he was at scout camp. The weather was pretty good, it doesn't really matter though, my kids will play in the ocean rain, wind, or shine! Enjoy.

This picture was a total fluke, I was running backward trying to take pictures of the kids as they are running from the waves, and this is what I got of Savannah. It is starting to be on of my favorite though

Josh playing with a mussle shell

and a little sea weed. I am 99% sure that he tasted this!

Troy absolutely loves the beach. He digs and digs and digs.

Josh made dug a little hole in the sand and then sat in it...he thought this was hilarious!

Josh digging in the sand. He was so cute. I have no clue who the girl jumping in the background is.

Today, Grant turned the ripe old age of 6! My heart instantly melted the first time I saw his sweet face. I remember the first thing I noticed about him were his dark eyebrows. I wish I could upload some of my favorite newborn photos of Grant...but the printer/scanner is still down. Grant has always had such expression in his face. He was such a happy baby. Every morning I would go to get him out of his crib he was so happy....ready to get started with his day. With both of the older kids in school all day, I was able to spend so much one on one time with him, that is a special time for me. When Grant was born he weighed 9 lbs, 8 ozs. Definitely my biggest baby! I always knew Grant was a mover....when he was still inside of me at the hospital, the nurse hooked me up to the monitor, and said she had never seen such an active baby! I remember thinking..."what does that mean?" 8 and a half months later, he was walking all over the place! He hasn't slowed down yet. Grant also has a very gentle side to him as well. He loves babies, and they love him. When Troy was born Grant was 3 years old...he couldn't wait for the baby to come out. When he came to the hospital he didn't think twice when he was told that if he wanted to hold baby Troy, he couldn't have his cookie anymore...that cookie was set down so quickly...all he cared about was holding his baby. Grant is such a great helper. He loves to makes those around him happy. He has a special way of making others around him feel like they are his greatest friend. Grant loves to play baseball, basketball and soccer. He is a star Mario superslugger for the Wii. One day while playing the superslugger baseball game he told me that I needed to sign him up for baseball because he was really good at it! Here are some of his favorites that I asked him about today when I was at lunch with him. Favorite color...blue and green. Favorite thing to do...play baseball, favorite food...McDonalds, favorite TV show....SpongeBob, favorite place to go...HOT TUB! Happy Birthday Grant! Joe Cool
It was so much fun to watch Grant play baseball. He is a natural.

One of my favorite pictures of Grant. I love the expression on his face.

This is the photo of Grant holding Troy for the first time...precious.

These next set of pictures are from his birthday party tonight. It was so much fun to go to dinner with everyone and open presents and have cake and Ice cream.
Josh and Grandpa Child. This was so fun to watch. Josh loved climbing on Grandpa's back. He has recently taken a special interest in Grandpa, and will ask for him frequently.

4th Of July @ The Cozy Cottage

This year for the 4th we went to Jim and Beckies, and my parents beach house in Lincoln City. We had a great time making smores, lighting fireworks, and playing on the beach. We look forward to many more memories at the beach. Thanks for a great weekend.
