OK, a few weeks ago Brett came home from work and showed me his ring finger...minus one ring. Then he showed me the ring. This ring that I gave him 15 years ago literally saved his finger from being smashed. I was relieved that the ring took the brunt of the force, but sad because of the sentimental value. It was only a week until we would celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. Luckily, we took it to Zales and they were able to repair it for us. I like to find some kind of symbolism with things that happen....two thoughts...marriage is rough, and at the same time marriage saves you. It is rough because you take two complete opposite personalities, throw in a few crazy kids and their personalities and a couple of hyper dogs and you can imagine the possibilities. Marriage saves you from selfishness, & loneliness. So, heres to 15 years on the 28th of January! I look forward to the next 15 and beyond.
